Pastoral Coaching

Ministry is a marathon. While it can be powerfully fulfilling when hitting ones stride, it can also be soul crushing through seasons of doubt and depression. Like a distance race you are expected to win, it can be marked by the constant pangs of emotional and physical exhaustion, constant critique by onlookers with expectations, endless demands for production, the presumption of perfect sermons by boards and bystanders, and the presupposition of empathy from everyone in your care.

Yet, who cares for the pastor? Where does he/she go when the pressure is on and everyone they know is either connected to their ministry or the denominational oversight boards that have power over their future? Those in ministry need someone to minister to them. Someone who represents a safe harbor of confidentiality and trust. Someone offering support, wisdom, guidance, and coaching on how best to meet the challenges they face.

Because most pastors and ministry leaders live in a glass house and because no pastor is perfect, The LiveWell Workshop offers a safe and confidential place to find help, support, and care in times of need as well as a place to find direction, wisdom, and encouragement in times of strength.

Ministry Consulting
Having been a Lead Pastor and Church Planter for 20 years, Angel understands the challenges that churches, boards, and ministry leaders face. Angel's hope is to utilize both his pastoral and leadership experience in concert with his training as a clinical counselor to assist churches who are seeking to create systems for discipleship that reflect sensitivity to the realities of mental and emotional health. Because all truth is God's truth, the church has the opportunity to pioneer avenues of growth, health, and wellbeing that reflect both spiritual tradition as well as the latest advances in neurobiology to create trauma informed discipleship models.

If you and your church are looking for ways to integrate mental and emotional health into your vision for ministry, please feel free to reach out!
